Our Philosophy
The Elated Home is built on the belief that the spaces where you spend the most time should bring a sense of ease, joy, and belonging.
We take time to understand our clients—their routines, their rhythms, the little details that make a house feel like home. With this insight, we create unexpected moments of delight: a thoughtfully placed light, a cozy nook, a well-loved gathering space.
Because the beauty of a home isn’t just in how it looks, but in how it makes you feel. Especially in life’s simplest, everyday moments.
THE ELATED HOME
THE ELATED HOME
Hello, I’m Adriana Arboleda, an interior designer with roots in both Colombia and the United States.
Growing up in Bogotá in a bicultural household—with a mother from Minnesota and a father from Colombia—I developed a deep appreciation for balance: between nature and city life, tradition and modernity, simplicity and richness. This perspective continues to shape the way I approach design today.
My love for interiors began early. Summers with my grandmother in Florida and Minnesota were filled with open houses and showroom visits, sparking my fascination with how environments influence how we live and feel. I quickly learned that a home is more than a backdrop—it’s a reflection of who we are.
Before founding The Elated Home, I worked in Wedding and Event Management, where I saw firsthand how the design of a space could transform behavior and emotion. Lighting, color, scent, and sound all work together to create atmosphere—an understanding that now deeply informs my design work. That experience also taught me the practical side of execution: managing budgets, coordinating vendors, and overseeing complex projects with care.
To formalize my passion, I pursued a Diploma in Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute, where I gained technical training in materials, building techniques, and spatial planning—tools that allow me to merge creativity with functionality.
The portfolio you’ll find here reflects professional, personal, and academic projects completed over the past few years. Each one is guided by a simple philosophy: to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also deeply personal, functional, and resilient to the rhythms of everyday life.
For me, interior design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about enhancing emotional well-being and elevating the daily experience of home. My goal is to design spaces that feel sacred, supportive, and reflective of the people (Kids and Pets included) who live in them.
